1. Who these Terms apply to
WrenchDock ("WrenchDock," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by SFBV LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as WrenchDock. WrenchDock operates a website and related services (the "Platform") that connect Customers seeking trade services (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other trades listed on the Platform) with independent Vendors who offer those services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern:
- Customers — anyone who browses the public vendor directory and/or submits an inquiry through the Platform. Customers do not create accounts; using the Platform to submit an inquiry constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
- Vendors — businesses or individuals who register a Vendor account to list their services on the Platform.
By using the Platform in either capacity, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. What WrenchDock is — and is not
WrenchDock is a lead-generation directory, not a contractor, employer, or party to any service agreement.
- We provide a platform where Vendors can list their services and Customers can discover and contact them.
- We do not perform, supervise, warranty, insure, or guarantee any work performed by a Vendor.
- We are not a party to, and have no responsibility for, any agreement, estimate, contract, or transaction between a Customer and a Vendor. All scheduling, pricing, payment, and performance of work happens directly between Customer and Vendor, off-Platform.
- We do not process payments between Customers and Vendors. Any payment for services is arranged and completed entirely between the Customer and the Vendor, using whatever method they agree to.
- Vendors are independent businesses, not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of WrenchDock. Nothing in these Terms or in a Vendor's use of the Platform creates an employment, agency, joint venture, or partnership relationship with WrenchDock.
3. What "Verified" and "Featured" mean (and don't mean)
Vendor profiles on the Platform may display badges such as "Verified" or "Featured." It is important that Customers understand exactly what these badges do and do not represent:
- A Vendor becomes visible on the Platform after completing required profile fields, verifying their email address, and having their submitted information reviewed by a WrenchDock administrator.
- "Verified" status reflects only that a WrenchDock administrator has reviewed the information the Vendor submitted and approved the listing for publication. It does not mean WrenchDock has independently confirmed the Vendor's licensing, insurance, bonding, certifications, criminal history, or the accuracy of any claims made in the Vendor's profile.
- WrenchDock does not perform license verification, insurance verification, or background checks on any Vendor, unless a specific future feature explicitly states otherwise on a given Vendor's profile.
- "Featured" status is a promotional placement and carries no additional assurance of quality, licensing, or reliability beyond standard "Verified" status.
- Customers are solely responsible for independently confirming a Vendor's licensing, insurance, and qualifications before hiring them, especially for work where local law requires a licensed and/or insured contractor. WrenchDock recommends Customers request proof of license and insurance directly from any Vendor before work begins.
This is one of the most important sections in this document, worth re-reading against how the Platform actually behaves any time the verification process changes — if "Verified" ever implies more assurance than what is actually done, that gap becomes real liability exposure the moment a Customer relies on it and something goes wrong.
4. Customer terms
4.1 No account required
Customers may browse the Platform and submit inquiries without creating an account.
4.2 Submitting an inquiry
When you submit an inquiry, you may select up to 8 Vendors to contact simultaneously. Submitting an inquiry:
- Shares the information you provide (name, contact information, and message) with each selected Vendor.
- Does not create any obligation for any Vendor to respond, provide a quote, or perform work.
- Does not create any obligation for you to hire any Vendor who responds.
- Generates a tracking ID for your reference. Follow-up communication happens directly between you and the Vendor(s), outside the Platform (by phone or email) — WrenchDock does not relay, monitor, or store this communication.
4.3 Reviews
Customers who have submitted a verified inquiry to a specific Vendor may leave a rating and review for that Vendor, referencing their inquiry tracking ID. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. Submitting a false, fraudulent, or fake review is prohibited (see Section 8).
4.4 Your responsibility when hiring a Vendor
You are solely responsible for evaluating, vetting, negotiating with, and deciding whether to hire any Vendor contacted through the Platform. This includes confirming licensing, insurance, pricing, and any other terms directly with the Vendor before work begins.
5. Vendor terms
5.1 Eligibility and account creation
To create a Vendor account, you must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to represent the business you are listing. You agree to provide accurate, current information about your business, including services offered, service areas, and contact information, and to keep this information up to date.
5.2 Email verification and publishing
Your Vendor account must be created and your profile must include required fields (as prompted in your dashboard) before your listing can be published. Your listing must also have a verified email address before it becomes visible to Customers or before profile changes can be saved while published. WrenchDock administrators review listings before they are published and may decline to publish, or may unpublish, any listing at our discretion.
5.3 Accuracy of your listing
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information on your Vendor profile, including your trades, service areas, experience claims, licensing status, insurance status, and any photos or content you upload. You represent that you hold any licenses, permits, insurance, or certifications required by law to perform the services you list.
5.4 Subscription and billing
Vendor accounts include a free trial period of 90 days from account creation. After the trial period, continued publication of your listing requires a paid subscription of $25 USD per month, billed automatically through our payment processor (Stripe) to the payment method you provide.
- If a payment fails, your subscription enters a grace period during which your listing remains published; if payment issues are not resolved, your listing will be unpublished.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account's billing management. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided for unused time, except as required by law.
- WrenchDock may change subscription pricing with notice to Vendors before the change takes effect on your account.
5.5 Content you upload
You retain ownership of photos and content you upload to your profile (e.g., gallery images). By uploading content, you grant WrenchDock a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating your listing. You represent that you have the right to use and upload any content you submit, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
5.6 Independent business relationship
As stated in Section 2, you are an independent business, not an employee, agent, or representative of WrenchDock. You are solely responsible for your own business operations, including pricing, scheduling, performance of work, compliance with applicable law, taxes, and any disputes with Customers.
5.7 Inquiries and Customer contact information
When you receive an inquiry, you may use the Customer's contact information solely to respond to that inquiry and provide the requested service. You may not use Customer contact information obtained through the Platform for unrelated marketing or any other purpose, or share it with third parties, except as necessary to perform requested services.
6. Reviews policy
- Reviews must be based on a genuine interaction with a Vendor via a verified Platform inquiry.
- WrenchDock may remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, contain personal information, or violate applicable law, but is not obligated to review, moderate, or remove any specific review, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any review.
- Vendors may not offer incentives in exchange for positive reviews, nor submit or solicit fake reviews for themselves or in an attempt to harm a competitor.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information in a Vendor profile or Customer inquiry.
- Submit fake, incentivized, or otherwise inauthentic reviews.
- Use the Platform to harass, threaten, or defraud another user.
- Attempt to circumvent the Platform's inquiry, verification, rate-limiting, or security mechanisms (including automated/bot submissions).
- Scrape, harvest, or misuse contact information obtained through the Platform for purposes unrelated to a specific inquiry.
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
WrenchDock may suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion, for violation of these Terms.
8. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WRENCHDOCK DOES NOT WARRANT THE QUALITY, SAFETY, LEGALITY, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY VENDOR OR ANY WORK PERFORMED BY A VENDOR. WRENCHDOCK IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DISPUTE, DAMAGE, INJURY, OR LOSS ARISING FROM ANY INTERACTION, AGREEMENT, OR WORK PERFORMED BETWEEN A CUSTOMER AND A VENDOR.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WRENCHDOCK'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID WRENCHDOCK IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND (B) $100.
10. Dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the Platform will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date, and notify Vendors by email of material changes.
